Our move against the King's men went exactly as we had planned. Two full teams gathered in the forest and marched against the halfling spies. Our bloodlost only warmed in this slaughter we moved in force to Befallen. Destroying the lesser minions with ease we decended to the depest areas of the ruins. None there survived and there were hardly any injuries sustained by our forces.
However, the ease at which the was accomplished should give us pause to think. Are the King's minions really this weak? Has his many alliances stretched his forces to thin to maintain a strong front? Or perhaps this was simply a test to see how we would respond?
My thanks to all who assisted in this, especially our generals of the raid, Ebonrot and Shylandria.

the Beginning
‘For one thousand years, the true daughters and sons of Innoruuk will live below the surface, and hold dominion over the dark realms of the night. But then the council, whose name is of the darkest order, shall once again be commissioned into the service of the Queen. And it is those of The Ebon Council and their Queen who shall set free Innoruuk, the Prince of Hate, upon all the lands. They shall be counted as the greatest heroes of any age, for through them the Endless Night will reign supreme.’
The Book of Darkness and Hate, Chapter XII

The Ebon Council is made up of several of Neriak’s royal houses. The role of the council in the past has been the advisors to the Tier’dal Queen, helping her make decisions on state, diplomacy, and even war when it was needed. It has always served the queen faithfully and loyally.

Tier’dal noble houses find it a magnificent honor and a point of pride to be called to serve upon the Ebon Council. Many houses try to use intrigue and subterfuge to gain entrance into the council, but the Queen has always been weary of such, she only calls those who she deems willing to her cause. She understands that if need be her council will lay their lives down for her at any given moment.

The Queen’s latest consort has woven fine threads of doubt in her mind. Through his subversive measures of manipulations, poisons and magics, he has twisted her perception to the point that she no longer trusts her judgement. In a final humiliating gesture, she has given consent to her consort, and now self-proclaimed King, to rule in her stead.

The false ruler’s first action, upon being granted this power was to disband the Ebon Council. The pretender saw it as a liability, as it held to the old traditions and values. He realized that if the Ebon Council continued he would never be able to see his dream of watching the Lodge of the Dead burn beneath Veeshan’s fire.

After several years, a few loyal subjects have uncovered the King’s plot and have persuaded the Queen that she must once again form the Ebon council, if not for her safety then for Neriak. After much deliberation and persuasion, she has issued her Grand Vizier to once again re-instate the council to aid her in this time of trouble and madness. She has already sent word to her long time ally, Mayong Mistmoore in the far continent of Faydwer, and hopes that the powerful undead master will be able to aid her subjects against the dragons when the time comes.

The Ebon Council now works in secret finding other allies that will aid the Tier’dal Queen and her cause against the dragons. It is their hopes that through their efforts they will be able to dethrone the treacherous King and make certain that the Queen rules her people as she has in the past.

About

Thank you for your interest in The Ebon Council guild! The above is the role-playing version of what our guild is about, and by now you have probably gathered that we are mainly a role-playing intensive guild. The above synopsis is what our over-all arching plot is about, however there are many different plots that are on going within the guild itself.

We are not an exclusively evil race guild, we would welcome any and all that have a love of role-playing; a love of gaming; and want to be with like-minded individuals. The Ebon Council is always on the watch for emissaries from other countries, as well as ambassadors, servants to the houses that serve the council, slaves, etc et al. The possibilities are wide and far spread.

If this sounds like something that you would like to do, please contact one of the officers of the guild for more information or to have them come and role-play your interest out! The leader of the Ebon Council is Mairya Za’afiel, and her officers at this time are Malyndriel Everhaite, Elauria Za’afiel, Agonny Za’afiel, and Eilanthia Everhaite. They would love to hear from you and answer any questions that you may have.
