Orphaned as a young child, Silania grew up in the
Lodge of the Dead. First serving them as a cleaning girl and later as a
seamstress, she was eventually deemed worthy and began to learn the ways of
Innoruuk's dark Knights.
Soon after her adventuring career began, she was
adopted by a beautiful Teir'Dal maiden named Jezabel. Jezabel was sister to
Fallis, patron of House Shadowveil, one of three Houses united as Clan Shadow.
The others were Houses D'Sune, lead by Silorn, and Shadowforge, lead by Gulak
(who later became Silania's god-father). Silania was soon joined by several
cousins, and House Shadowveil was alive and rich with the Father's hatred.
Soon however, Jezabel was killed, and then the cousins drifted away,
joining other Houses and marrying into other families. Soon, only Silania and
her uncle were left. Then came the glorious day when Fallis was wed to Agonny
Za'afiel, and, as is proper, discarded his own name and joined his wife's
House.
Now Silania is alone in what was once a thriving noble House. She
has made a blood-oath, however, that she will not let House Shadowveil die out.
How she will go about that remains to be seen... |
